Take a look at this Peachy Pink boho 1st Birthday for Lilah!

Sometimes a colour palette is the simplest way to theme your child’s First Birthday party!

I understand how much work goes into throwing a First birthday and how special this occasion truly is- 1st birthdays are my absolute fav!

In their first year, you’ve helped them achieve so much, they’ve taught you more about yourself than you thought possible, you’ve seen their little personalities shine through and they deserve all the good in this world.
You probably want it to be a big all-out celebration with your closest around you or you may want to make it fair- if older siblings had a big 1st birthday bash!

You want to celebrate all the things that make them unique plus the fact that you’ve made it through the first year half-sane shouldn’t be discounted!

Sometimes getting that extra help, can take away the overwhelm when you’re still looking after a 1-year-old who may have started walking and you’re still can’t remember if you’ve showered or not! When working with me, I’ll help your vision come to life and make it happen. Click below for party planning help!

When our lovely client Kate got in touch to help plan her little one’s party, we decided a colour palette was the way to go for her daughters 1st Birthday and it could not have turned out any sweeter!

“So, ashamedly I used to go a bit crazy for Leo’s parties (well his 1st and 2nd). So, for Lilah I wanted to be more conscious of the environment! We only decided to have a party for Lilah 4 weeks ago, I knew i’d need help with where to start, suppliers to use etc so I enlisted the help of @_partyora_ and after a quick chat, I knew my theme was more colour orientated.”

Kate, Lilah’s Mum.

After selecting some of the eco party supplies, we got to creating. Once they were delivered, some tips were sent out to help her put it all together.
Take a look at this wonderful party we helped our client Kate, for her daughter Lilah who celebrated her First Birthday in sustainable style! Read on as we go through all the super-sweet details>>>

The Milestone Board

This was such a special way to capture all the memories from Lilah’s 1st Year.
Reminisce on each prescious month of your little love on their first milestone birthday with a keepsake milestone board! This custom photo milestone Board was created by Linen & Wove to match the one Kate had created for her son Leo.

The Welcome sign

Take a look at this Welcome sign created by Linen and Wove, based off of the invite created by our client! You can use this as table decor, to pop your favours infront of or best of all, ⁣as a photography backdrop!

The Backdrop

When choosing a backdrop, either for behind the cake table or as a photography backdrop, there are many different Eco friendly and DIY ideas to try!
You could use a bedsheet against a wall or fence, tissue paper pom poms instead of balloons or Fabric buntings!
Another great idea is hanging strips of ribbon, cut up fabric or Crepe streamers as our client did!

A Ribbon wall is typically strips of fabric or ribbon tied to a string or rod at whatever length you like. You can get more info on this in our Fb group here: www.facebook.com/groups/ecofriendlypartyplanningideas
Here, our client has set up Kmart crepe streamers over a piece of string as the ribbon wall!

She also hired some reusable Tulle pom poms from Little One’s Party Hire and a 1st Birthday foil balloon from Sutherland Shire ballon library (a great reusable ballon resource)⁣ ⁣ Get in touch with them here: https://partyora.com/directory/business-listing/party-hire/little-ones-party-hire

The Cake & That TOPPER!

A simple cake can still be a show stopper with the right topper! If you’re making your own cake or ordering a plain cake to decorate yourself, why not try some of these DIY cake toppers next time:

*Fresh fruit – Strawberries, berries, figs are all popular choices
*Fresh or edible flowers/petals
*Dried florals or petals
*Sprinkles – the options here are endless!
*Chocolates or lollies
*Reuse any small decor items or figurines to match a theme or colour palette (as seen in this pic!)
*Reusable cake toppers made from natural materials such as macrame toppers or felt ball toppers (available here: https://partyora.com/vendor/blushing-rose/

The Party games

Kate chose a reusable fabric pass the parcel set for Lilah’s First Birthday which you can view here:
https://partyora.com/product-category/eco-party-products/eco-party-supplies/party-games/

Along with some colouring in sets by Little One’s Party Hire.

When it comes to prizes for party games, think ethically sourced, natural materials and Australian handmade! The pass the parcel is still a favourite for kids big and small. You can fill them with eco party prizes!
Whilst it’s sometimes hard to find plastic-free options, if you’re prepared with a list of items, it can stop you from impulse buying shiny, plastic objects that will break easily and end up in landfills!

Here are some of my favourite eco prizes:

*Books
*Colouring in books
*Pencils
*Natural crayons
*Small wooden puzzles
*Peg dolls
*Scrunchies
*Crochet keyrings
*Handmade Playdough
*Wooden playdough stamps
*Seed packets
*Ribbon wands
To name a few! View the Partyora Pass the parcel sets here: https://partyora.com/product-category/eco-party-products/eco-party-supplies/party-games/

The favours

Looking for sustainable party favours that are sugar and plastic-free?? Take a look at these Rainbow plaster eco party bags, our most popular favour idea on the website! View these and other themes here: https://partyora.com/vendor/pm-plaster-craft/

This was by far the least stressful party I have ever done even with the last minute venue change due to wet weather, lucky our local community hall was available and

@monkeyplaymobileplay came up with the goods to entertain the kids inside an empty hall! 🙏🏼Thank you to everyone who came along and celebrated our Lilah girl ❤️💕 it was a great party 🥳

Kate, Lilah’s Mum!

A special thank you to our wonderful client Kate for these gorgeous images and for allowing us to be part of Lilah’s special day! Watch this space for more of what’s to come from Partyora soon!
